Komba Lamina, Director of Development
Komba Lamina is a fundraiser and community development leader with over a decade of experience advancing mission-driven organizations through strategic philanthropy and strong donor partnerships. He brings a results-oriented approach to fundraising that centers on relationship building, stewardship, and long-term impact.
Prior to joining Bridges Homeward, he served as the Development Director for Scouting America – Metro Boston Council, where he led all fundraising initiatives, driving growth in overall giving. He worked closely with executive leadership and volunteers to cultivate and steward major donors, resulting in multiple large gifts and the creation of an investment vehicle to support new market initiatives. His leadership also included managing development staff and committees and producing community fundraising events in support of youth programs.
Previously, Komba served with the City of Nashua, where he managed a small business loan program and helped local businesses access critical funding especially during the COVID-19 pandemic. Earlier in his career, he expanded youth development and workforce education programs in underserved communities across Greater Boston, and significantly increased youth participation in the program.
Komba serves on the Board of Building Communities New Hampshire and is a founding member of African Bridge Network. He holds a Master of Public Administration degree from the University of Massachusetts Lowell and a Bachelor of Science in Political Science, with a minor in Business Administration, from Salem State University. Komba is deeply committed to transparency, collaboration, and ensuring that philanthropic investments translate into tangible positive impacts for those we serve.
