Want to Foster or Adopt?

Start Your Journey with Us in April 2026

Join our MAPP Training (Massachusetts Approach to Partnership in Parenting), a required course for those looking to become a foster parent, adoptive parent, or mentor family in Massachusetts.

How Does It Work?

  • This training will be conducted virtually. Access to Zoom and an internet connection are required. MAPP training consists of 10, 3-hour modules.

  • Participants are required to attend at least 9 of the 10 modules. Both members of a couple must attend training together.

  • Participants are enrolled in MAPP training after they have completed an application and the prescreening process, which includes background record checks and a home safety check.

What Is MAPP Training?

MAPP Training is a required 30-hour course for anyone in Massachusetts who is interested in becoming an adoptive parent, foster parent, or mentor family through our Weekend Family Connections Program.

We will guide you through the process step by step. Space is limited. Applications are accepted on a first-come, first-service basis.
