A Final Message from Bob

After seven years leading our agency, our outgoing Executive Director Bob Gittens wants to share a final message with our Bridges Homeward community.

I want to express my deep appreciation and thanks for all that our staff and members of our Board of Directors who have done so much to make my time with Bridges Homeward such a rewarding experience. I have been privileged to work with a wonderful group of exceptional colleagues, as we’ve navigated some significant challenges and forged new paths. Our work to build permanency into all that we do and our focus on equity and inclusion positions Bridges Homeward to continue to provide high quality services that meet the needs of vulnerable children and families.

Many thanks to our Senior Leadership Team: Noreen Dolan, Courtney Gomez, Kaesta Campbell-Smith, Colleen MacRae, Kim Stasny, and Steve Kumins. I greatly appreciate all of your hard work, wisdom and guidance.

I also want to recognize our Program Directors, whom I believe are the best you can find. Thank you, Susan Rooney, Brenda Beaton, Sarah Medrano-Palmer, Laqunda Nystrom, and Thara Young for the incredible work you do day in and day out!

Thank you to Beckey Fischer, our Office Manager, for all you do to keep the train on the tracks and helping all of us get our work done.

Thank you to every single one of our social workers and support staff for the amazing work you do to serve children and families.

Finally, I am deeply grateful to have had the wonderful support of a great Board of Directors who have stood by us through thick and thin. Thank you for everything.

I am thrilled that Yoyo Yau is taking the helm of the organization at this time. I know we are in very good hands and this agency has a very bright future. Thank you to all of Bridges Homeward’s supporters for all you have done and for being the change we all want to see in the world.
